Lyrics

Morning we fly to Santa Fe
Trip’s duration is half a day
One stop in Fort Worth, America’s hub
We’ll stick near the gate, find us some grub

Brother’s in Dallas, yes, that is true
Guess we ain’t seen him since Pam’s funeral.
You’d say we’d meet up if I really care.
To Friday’s and back leaves an hour to spare.

But then we’d have to go through security again
And that would be a major drag.
No telling the length of the line to pass
No telling what they’ll make of your bag

Forecast says sun with a casual wind.
Now that you’ve planned it you’d have to rescind.
Lunch on a patio is far from the worst
Jimmy’s my brother and family comes first.

But then we’d have to go through security again
That we must avoid at all cost.
I’ll buy him a ticket to meet in the terminal
Or all our momentum will be lost.

You can go on your own
I’ll whistle while you’re away
Call me and hand Jim the phone
Prepare for TSA

Jim’d do the same, knows it’s no snub.
Planting my seat in an airport pub.
The service is spotty the prices obscene.
Still beats round two with a federal screen.

My main concern: assuring we board.
Not really worried about you being bored.
Someplace has poppers, we’ll get our fill.
Add in some shopping, those hours we’ll kill.

I don’t want to go through security again
That would bum me out
If we exit we must repeat that waltz
Again be subject to the agents’ doubts

Our clearance kaput if we go through that door.
Your bag seen the xray don’t risk an encore.
Pitchers at Friday’s yes I have a thirst.
Jimmy’s my brother and family comes first.

But then we’d have to go
But then we’d have to go
But then we’d have to go through security again
