“Change at My Place” is a song about growing up. Early in the song the narrator is living a bachelor life, playing on a co-ed volleyball team, some members of which he insists “change at my place” so they can attend a wedding after a game. While waiting to use the shower, he and a teammate have a deep conversation. This leads them to be late to the wedding, but sets them off on their own romance. After a guitar solo, the results of the transformation are revealed : “a carpet full of toys… joyful crying noise.” His pad has become the first home of a young family.
